NICE TO MEET YOU!

Hello! My name is Alexa Richmond. I am from New Jersey, but spent the last four years in Rhode Island receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies (Event Management) and Public Relations.
My love for photography began at a young age when I won an art contest for a painting I made and was gifted a point-and-shoot camera. I started taking pictures of anything and everything in my range of view. Years down the road I was able to get my hands on a digital camera. As some kids were spending most of their time on the field or court, I was arranging my after-school schedule for photoshoots of friends and families. As my portfolio began to develop, I started working for a local boutique, capturing pictures of new apparel in picturesque locations.

Come high school, I was interested in joining a club where I could continue to pursue my interests. The only thing closest to that was the yearbook club, so I got involved with that my freshman year and began working with sports teams. Early into my sophomore year, I realized I wanted something more for myself and those who shared my passion. I decided to start creating the first Photography Club at my high school; after lots of hard work the following year, it got approved and generated 60+ interested members.

I continued shooting holiday cards, bar/bat mitzvahs, special occasion birthday parties, philanthropy events, etc.
I love capturing beautiful moments shared between people, or just oneself where you have the ability to look back on that time and place with a smile.
